In this article, we focus on the use of films and series in language teaching, and the benefits of their use from a didactic, linguistic, and cultural point of view. Films and series are part of our everyday lives and represent a wide range of themes, enabling language teachers to make varied and innovative use of these media throughout the year. We began by focusing on these film media's theoretical and didactic aspects, looking at the different ways of retaining information. Then we explained how the seventh art can be beneficial and interesting, not only by addressing the characteristics and skills of the language course but also by making links with previous experiences. The motivational aspect was also addressed. Finally, in the practical part, we highlighted our experience of the placement and the results obtained from surveys carried out on the subject. We also explained our plan to incorporate film into the language course we had set up. |
