Résumé : |
This paper describes a four-week experiment using the reversed classroom for third-year vocational students in Belgium. The students were split into 2 groups: Group A, that followed a flipped learning, and Group B, that followed a traditional learning, on the same topic. This research is based on similar research made in Japan. After four weeks, the listening, vocabulary and speaking skills of both groups were compared. Each time, Group A scored higher scores. The self-determination (meaning the motivation according to Ryan and Deci) of students in Group A slightly improved after the experiment. It was also shown that the students did not have negative preconceptions about the flipped classroom. |
